ENGLISH OF EVERYDAY LIFE
by Arthur G Milne
This is a series of video readings from the book 'English of Everyday Life' by Arthur G Milne - a project that began during the pandemic lockdown of 2020. As far as I can tell, the book was written in 1935 as an educational reference book for Czechs to have a glimpse into what life is like in England.
And to simultaneously learn related vocabulary.
It's a fascinating read. I hope you enjoy it.
As you may notice, the further I got into the book, the further I got into different ways of presenting the videos, and I am very proud of some of them - in particular chapter 22, Shopping.
I hope to one day finish it!
BTW - the website '100skypeenglish.com' is no longer functional... I mean... Skype... that's how long ago this was...!!
